Snowbird Information Meeting – Davie

Davie, FL – The Canadian Snowbird Association is hosting a Winter Information Meeting in Davie on Tuesday, March 15.  The Winter Information Meeting is a mixture of advice and entertainment for snowbirds and will be held primarily in French.

“This is a free event for the many French-speaking Canadians in Florida,” says Gerry Brissenden, president of the CSA.  “Almost two million Canadians visit Florida each year, and several hundred thousand are French Canadians, so we’re expecting a large turnout.”

“Davie is a beautiful town,” enthuses Brissenden, “and it’s very close to both Hollywood and Pompano Beach, which have substantial snowbird enclaves.  These snowbirds are Canadians from the French-speaking province of Quebec, and they have strong ties to Broward County.

“Our meeting will celebrate French snowbirds and their contribution to the State of Florida.”

The CSA Winter Information Meeting will be held at the Bailey Concert Hall at the Broward Community College at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15.

The Canadian Snowbird Association is a national not-for-profit advocacy organization dedicated to actively defending and improving the rights and privileges of travelling Canadians.
