NDP Leader Jack Layton to Meet with CSA

Timmins, ON – New Democratic Party leader Jack Layton will meet with Canadian Snowbird Association President Gerry Brissenden and Ontario Director Nancy Hopcraft in Timmins on Friday June 30 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss issues of importance to travelling Canadians.

The Canadian Snowbird Association (CSA) is a national, 80,000 member not-for-profit advocacy organization. It is dedicated to actively defending and improving the rights and privileges of travelling Canadians.

What started as a crusade to find affordable emergency out-of-country travel health coverage has grown into a national organization, dedicated to preserving the rights of all Canadians, the Canada Health Act and our national medicare system.

Jack Layton, Gerry Brissenden and Nancy Hopcraft will be available to speak to the media immediately prior to and following the meeting.
