Non-invasive Prostate Reduction Procedure

As men age, their prostate grows. Many older men deal with the primary side-effect of an enlarged prostate on a nightly basis. Medication and radical surgery have been the traditional methods of correcting the constriction of the urethra that results from an enlarged prostate. Now there is a less invasive procedure that offers immediate results and a quick recovery.

Photoselective Vaporization of the Prostate (PVP) involves the use of a high-energy laser to vaporize prostate tissues. There are minor side-effects, including temporary swelling, however urine flow improves right away and most patients are "back on their feet" within one to two days.
