William "Bill" C. Leeder, 70, of Auburndale, Florida, died on Monday, October 10, 2005 at his residence. Many Canadian snowbirds knew Bill well from the early days as editor of the publication Canada News" and in his later years representing the CSA and Medipac International at Canada Club events throughout the state of Florida.

Bill lived in the Winter Haven and Auburndale area for over twenty-three years after immigrating to the United States from Canada. Throughout his career, he represented the Toronto Telegraph, the Oakville Beaver, the Winter Haven News Herald, The Winter Haven News Chief, Canada News and CSANews.

Bill is survived by his wife Sally, son Randy, daughter Kathy Sorenson, stepson Clinton Turnbull, step daughter Cynthia Sills and his sister Darlene. Bill also had ten grand children.

Bill enjoyed golf, hunting, good conversation and, of course, keeping in touch with the thousands of Canadians who visit Florida every year.

Goodbye Bill. We will miss you.
