Treasurer's Report CSA Annual Report

Another positive year for the CSA!

In 2004, the association was on the go throughout the entire year, from the Extravaganzas and Information meetings to the Lifestyle Presentations. Throughout all of this activity, the CSA finance committee and board of directors have been able to improve on the strong financial position achieved in 2003.

The audited financial statements, which are part of this annual report, show once again the fiscal strength of the CSA. For 2003/2004 the association attained a surplus of $3,236.

The net worth of the association increased by .6 per cent. Membership fees for the year totalled $550,741. I would like to thank the membership for your commitment to the association. Your support has enabled the CSA to implement several member-oriented initiatives, including the CSA Member Handbook and the CSA Travel Information Guide. These endeavours were used as a means to aid and inform our travelling members, and your praise for these initiatives has been greatly appreciated.

The net worth of the Special Action Fund increased by 9.6 per cent. Donations for the current fiscal year totalled $100,778. This represents an impressive annual increase of 12 per cent. Through the generosity of our members, the CSA has been able to make an impact in its advocacy initiatives, the details of which can be found in the Government Relations Report. There is still much work to be done. The association will continue to need your support as we move forward.

On behalf of the association, I thank you for your continued support.
