Three remarkable days!

During the month of September, in Mississauga, Kitchener and London, Ontario the CSA held three information meetings similar to our Western Extravaganzas in the U.S. We named them Snowbird Lifestyle Presentations, and they were held at a performing arts centre in each of the cities. The ever-personable Tom Leadbeater joined Medipac's Mark Simone as co-master of ceremonies for the events, to bring our unique combination of information, education and entertainment to those who attended.
President Bob Jackson delivered his keynote address, which became a prime motivator for many non-members to join the association. His informative talk detailed the history of the association, as well as our future plans and actions. In addition to several guest speakers and information on CSA benefits, your favourite stars of Snowbird Extravaganza took the stage and performed to enthusiastic crowds. David Bradley, star of Branson, Missouri's Country Tonite show dazzled audiences with his incomparable talent, while home-grown star, Peter Marino, delivered a dose of his tenor magic. Crystal Gauthier, who captured our hearts in Lakeland, Florida earlier this year, was able to join us and she captivated us with her effervescence and talent. We also introduced talented soprano, Lesley Andrew, who has appeared on Oprah and the Tonight Show, and she was simply amazing. Peter and Leslie performed two closing duets that brought a tear to our eyes and the audience to its feet for a standing ovation. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to both our entertainers and sponsors. Their contributions and commitment provide the solid base that makes these Presentations and our Extravaganzas possible. Our objective is to expand to other cities in Canada over the next few years. As always, cost is an ever-present concern and we must proceed only in areas where we have controlled costs and proper sponsorship dollars. |

Our next stop is the U.S. and we need your help! If you can volunteer some time in Lakeland, FL, South Padre Island, TX, Mesa or Yuma, AZ, or Indian Wells, CA, we'll find a job for you! We're going to need help distributing posters to the various retirement communities surrounding our Extravaganzas and we also need help at the shows themselves. If you can lend a hand, please refer to the next page for dates and details of volunteering. If you're calling from Canada, be sure to leave us your U.S. address/phone number so that we can contact you closer to the show.
