T he first words of this issue should be from all of us. "Congratulations to the nominees for the Canadian Snowbird Association, 2006 – 2008, Board of Directors."

This Board looks like it will be a strong one and the nominees are proven hard workers, which is just what the CSA needs during these turbulent times. I have had the privilege of working with many of the prior Directors and have also been active on the Special Committee for the CSA's Government Report Card. The responses we received from several provincial governments have been very encouraging and the politicians have shown a willingness to learn more about our concerns, and better yet, to address those concerns. We will need strong representation by our Board, in every area of Canada, and this is the Board that can do that. Again, our congratulations, and thank you for giving your valuable retirement time for the benefit of all of us.

Some interesting reading lies ahead (and some not so easy puzzles!) so it is time to sit down and enjoy. And, if you can, try to come see us at one of our many snowbird events, or call one of the Canada Clubs in your area when you are down south on your journeys. They know how to have fun and would love to have you visit, and, even better, to become a regular member. The cost of our Medipac snowbird events is free and a full Canada Club membership is pocket change. I look forward to seeing you there. CSA logo solo/small
