Selling property

My wife and I are thinking of selling our property in Florida and would like to know the steps in the process. I assume that we would go through a lawyer when it sells, but are there any U.S. taxes and/or fees which we would need to pay? We have heard conflicting stories from others who have sold. Thanks for clarifying this issue.

How long can I stay

I continue to get conflicting opinions about how long I can safely stay in the U.S. One opinion is no more than 183 consecutive days or 183 days cumulative in a calendar year and the other opinion is 183 days per year, but calculated at 100% of current year days + 1/3 of the year prior days and 1/6 of the two years’ prior days…

Canada/US Border Update

CSA Member Advisory – Recently, Canada and the United States agreed to extend the land border restriction on all non-essential travel until October 21, 2020. This means that travel for tourism purposes will not be permitted at any land border crossing until at least October 21, 2020, but we anticipate this closure may well extend into 2021.
