Summer 2011 > Issue 79 I travel to Arizona for six months every winter and also cross the border to shop in the summer months. A friend told me that every border-crossing for shopping counts as a day in the U.S. and that I cannot exceed six months' total in the U.S. or risk being banned from the U.S. for five years. I would like to see a report such as the one which you have on the provinces' health care: which states have passed such laws, which are pending, what documents they want, do you have to carry these with you, or can you leave them where you are staying, governors' responses to our concerns... For a number of years, we have attended and enjoyed the Prince Edward Island picnic held annually at Fort DeSoto Park in Florida. We understand that the Canadian Snowbird Association, and we believe Medipac Travel Insurance, sponsor this fun day (and other provincial picnics), so we are writing to you regarding a real concern we have about the recent newspaper stories indicating that Pinellas County officials are seriously considering a $5 per vehicle charge to enter their parks.
