RSS Feeds Snowbirds.org is RSS ready! RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" which is a really easy method of delivering content over the internet. Content from the snowbirds.org website can now be fed directly into your RSS feed reader. Most online portals (like Yahoo, Google, MSN and AOL) have personalized homepages for their users which you can manage the content displayed on those pages, and even add third party information like content fed from the snowbirds.org website. On the www.snowbirds.org/rss.php page, simply click on the button of your preferred portal, and content from that particular feed will be displayed on your personal homepage. Make sure you're signed into the portal before you click the RSS button on snowbirds.org.
Search Website Looking for something specific on www.snowbirds.org? Try the new Search Website function. A link to the search page can be found under the Members Only menu after you login.
Personalize Site - Personal Image Now you can upload a personal image that will be displayed on the homepage every time you login to snowbirds.org. This image will only be visible to you. Think of it as your own virtual mantel piece. Visit the Personalize Site section (link found under the Members Only menu) to upload the digital image of yourself, a loved one, a friend, a pet, or simply a favourite picture.
Personalize Site - Weather When you login to snowbirds.org, be sure to visit the Personalize Site section (link found under the Members Only menu). There, you will be able to personalize two weather locations; one for your Canadian residence and the other for your US residence. Weather icons will be displayed at the bottom of the homepage for you to see when you first login.
"What's New" Section Each time members login to snowbirds.org, the homepage will display a listing of what’s new since their last visit. Sections like Snowbird Alert!, Bird Talk, CSA Update, Canada Club! and Snowbird Photos will be displayed. If there are no new updates within these sections, browse through one of the many other sections listed in the left hand menu.
