We are usually in the U.S. for fewer than 182 days. As long as we file the Form 8840, are we okay to stay in the U.S. for the extra 25 days, or should we shorten our trip?

As of July 11, 2019, the entry/exit initiative has been expanded to include the sharing of information of all travellers including Canadian and American citizens at land ports of entry.

In a recent article which appeared on CBC News’ British Columbia website, it was suggested that Canadian citizens are only allowed to spend 120 days in the United States each year. For clarification purposes, the Canadian Snowbird Association would like to remind travellers to the U.S. that this information is incorrect.
