Congresswoman Elise Stefanik and Congressman Greg Stanton introduced the Canadian Snowbird Visa Act, bipartisan legislation to extend the amount of time certain Canadians can visit the US by two months.

My insurance agent is telling me that I need extra coverage if I drive my car to Florida for the winter. They say that any vehicle staying in the U.S. for more than 30 days requires special coverage. Is this correct?

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik and Congressman Peter Welch (D-VT) introduced the Canadian Snowbird Visa Act, bipartisan legislation to extend the amount of time Canadians who own or lease a home in the United States can visit by two months.

U.S. Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Rick Scott (R-FL) reintroduced the Canadian Snowbirds Act, legislation that would allow some Canadian citizens to spend up to eight months a year vacationing in the United States, two months longer than they are allowed to stay now.
