My wife and I are thinking of selling our property in Florida and would like to know the steps in the process. I assume that we would go through a lawyer when it sells, but are there any U.S. taxes and/or fees which we would need to pay? We have heard conflicting stories from others who have sold. I went to the U.S. on Jan 14, 2021 and returned on July 1, 2021 (total 169 days) and I plan on going back to the U.S. on October 31 for another six months (end of April). Am I allowed to re-enter the U.S., since it would be considered more than 180 days total for 2021?
