G-325R for multiple trips

Last year when we drove to Florida, we were not issued a Form I-94. We completed the Form G325-R once we arrived at our destination. My question is as follows: If we leave for a cruise (or two), do we need to complete another Form G325-R each time we enter the U.S. if our stay will be longer than 30 days? We were sent to secondary screening BEFORE we were allowed to board the ship when the person checking us in learned that we were staying for longer than 30 days after the cruise. We were also not issued a Form I-94 when we went through customs when we returned.
