I-94 Form for Departure in October 2026

Hello. I would like to know if we need to apply for the I-94 at least seven days before our planned departure in October 2026. In October 2025, we applied for the I-94 and, at the border, we requested it. We went inside, our fingerprints and photos were taken, and we subsequently printed the I-94. Since our fingerprints and photos were taken in 2025, do we simply need to apply for the I-94 before our departure, or will there be a different procedure since our fingerprints and photos are already in their system?

Ed.: Simply travel to the U.S. as you normally would. After entering, check the CBP I-94 website to see whether a new I-94 has been issued: https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov. If an I-94 has been issued, you’re all set. If it has not, you will need to complete the G-325R registration with USCIS.
