Until her retirement in 2023, Ms. Tetzlaff enjoyed working as a Senior Staff Development Officer for the Ministry of the Solicitor General. Traveling around the province, she was responsible for the development and delivery of staff training, primarily in courses on conducting rehabilitative programming for offenders. Her distinguished career also included many years as a Probation and Parole Officer, supervising offenders in the community. She aspired to follow in the footsteps of her maternal grandmother (Lillian Ross) who had been one of the first female Probation Officers in Ontario.
During her career, Kim has been actively involved in many fundraising initiatives for a variety of charitable organizations including the Heart & Stroke Foundation and The Michael Pinball Clemons Foundation. Kim brings an array of committee experience to the Canadian Snowbird Association, participating in board and committee meetings throughout her professional career.
Kim and her husband Ralph reside in Wooler, Ontario and spend their winters in Spring Hill, Florida.
