CSANews Issue 129 WInter 2023 Edition – Our travel patterns to the U.S. have reverted to pre-Covid levels and we are slightly ahead of the 2019 number of trips. There is one big difference, though – automobile traffic is down by about 15% and travel by air is up. High gas prices and more competition in the airline space (which reduces prices) are changing our normal travel patterns.

CSA Member Advisory – In August 2023, we notified members that Canadian citizens travelling to certain European countries will soon be required to obtain a permit known as a European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) travel authorization. An ETIAS travel authorisation is an entry requirement for visa-exempt nationals travelling to thirty European countries.
