From what I am reading, provincial health insurance in Saskatchewan is not valid if you have been out of the province for longer than four months. We are about to transition to retirement and are building a condo in Roatan, Honduras.

I understand that Ontario recently ruled to retain OHIP coverage for any emergencies while outside of Canada. Can you please explain why I would need travel insurance as well, if any emergency medical costs are going to be covered by OHIP?

My insurance agent is telling me that I need extra coverage if I drive my car to Florida for the winter. They say that any vehicle staying in the U.S. for more than 30 days requires special coverage. Is this correct?
