Members can now log into the snowbirds.org website and upload pictures of their journeys under the Interact link under the Members Only menu. Friends and family around the world will then be able to view the pictures online under the Snowbird Photos section in the left hand menu. Drivers caught talking, texting face fines as of today - Feb 01, 2010. As of Monday morning, motorists who talk or text on their handheld cell phone while driving in Ontario or B.C., run the risk of receiving a hefty fine.
Snowbird Extravaganza in Lakeland - Jan 22, 2010. LAKELAND - Snowbird Extravaganza, billed as the largest single gathering of Canadians outside of Canada, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Lakeland Center, 701 W. Lime St.
Dollar hits 3-month high, passes 97¢ Globe and Mail - Jan 11, 2010. The Canadian dollar passed 97 cents Monday, a three-month high, propelled by strong commodity prices. The currency traded at 97.40 cents (U.S.), its highest level since Oct. 14, from Friday's close of 97 cents. It has climbed 1.5 per cent in the past month.

Dear Bird Talk,
We have been members of the Canadian Snowbird Association and do enjoy your quarterly magazine. For 20 years, we have been travelling to Florida from Alberta for four or five months each winter and have had no problem filling prescriptions from our doctors to cover the time we were away.

Medical Expenses due to Swine Flu Illness are Fully Covered for Travelling Canadians Insured under Medipac Travel Insurance Policies May 01, 2009. Many travel insurance plans in Canada are refusing to pay for medical expenses relating to the current swine flu epidemic.
